120 He recalled in the Illustrators Bulletin his ease at locating an antique set of Union bagpipes, but the difficulty at locating any “antique” Irishman who knew how to play them. During the 1920s and 1930s his work was regularly on display at the exhibitons of the Society of Illustrators. Price became active in many of the Society’s projects and served as Curator. He was a member from 1920, and became a Life Member in 1946 and served as Honorary President from 1948 until his death in 1951. Shortly after his death, the Society of Illustrators held a Memorial Exhibition at which time the library was named in his honour. Special thanks to Heritage Auctions for some of the images.
