75 healthy foundation for Sean to continue to develop his art and explore new ideas. Sean’s work ethic remains as focused as ever. He is, however, able to structure his day in such a way as to be able to enjoy the world beyond the confines of his studio. He starts the morning with a walk—the scenic splendour of the Lake District providing a constant source of positive karma , whilst the rest of the family get breakfasted. Upon his return and after a spartan breakfast, he settles himself into his studio and attends to the emails and other business pending before focusing on work in hand. He endeavours to avoid working the sort of crazy hours that so bedevilled his formative years, and finds his most productive period to be from about 3.00 pm onwards, usually completing his day’s work at 7.00 pm. Much of the work that he produces is still generated traditionally, but he is also very comfortable working digitally, and his mastery of software such as Clip Studio Paint (Sean’s favourite inking software) affords him the ability to combine both disciplines within the same projects. In addition to affording him added speed and flexibility, it enables him to have more control over the production process, from generating his own lettering to adjusting the contrast:
