58 One of Virgil’s favourite models, Tippi Hedren famed for her lead role in Alfred Hitchcock’s film ‘The Birds’, appears in the painting he created forJessamyn West’s ‘In Search of a Kiss’. Anita Virgil has said that Hedren was possessed of “perfect-to-draw face, figure, hands and feet”. Assets which, when combined with her professionalism and dependability, made her a joy to work with.
