84 ABOVE: Last panel from the story Scarecrows , digital, 2017. The image was an obvious reference to Pink Floyd’s ‘Animals’ album with the inflatable pig floating in the background through an industrial section of a city. Ersin chose various inflatable figures of some heads of state floating over an unsuspecting population in this poignant story about fear merchants. FACING PAGE: Panel from the short story Monochrome , pen and ink, Copic markers, 2012. The reason for the technique is the story itself. It’s about a society losing their colours and becoming grey and dull. This story was published in Turkey, France and England.
