PR: Have you any projects that turned into a nightmare? BC: Every project has its ups and downs but I can honestly say there hasn’t been one that was a “nightmare”. With every project, there’s always something I learned or took away from it, whether an artistic technique, business tips, even contacts that led to other great opportunities. BC: I feel like Schoolismwill be a lifelong project for me, always tinkering with it, trying to grow it, share it, etc. because I feel like this is the thing that will leave a lasting impression on the industry PR: If you were starting out all over again—would you still make illustration your career? BC: Absolutely. I love art—doing it, learning it, teaching it—so naturally it is and always will be my dream career. Nothing can be more satisfying than being proud of the thing you love most. l
