7 curricular activities included membership in a comics appreciation society that would draw in students from other disciplines. As a result he was creating comics with students studying law and medicine, but all sharing the same passion for worlds outside of the ordinary. Here again, he found himself thoroughly captivated by the challenges of creating virtual worlds but now, with the interaction of artistic peers, he was able to hone, develop, and refine his visions. His commitment to what courses Syracuse could offer was total and, with access to a studio, all of Donato’s spare time was invested in creating personal projects in addition to those required to fulfil the demands of the degree.
