Dom Tegallion) STORY 34: “THOSE ABOUT TO DIE”: STRIP 3833 Multi-millionaire playboy who has a deep and abiding dislike of Modesty since she turned down his offer of bed and when he refused to take “No” for an answer gave him a black eye to make her point. Suffering from an inoperable brain tumour and knowing he has only a few months to live, he has planned a final fabulous party to be held on his private island off Sardinia. The festivities will reach a climax with Roman style Gladiatorial Games in which the contestants fight to the death. He has ordered and achieved the kidnapping of a number of world class combat experts to be the Gladiators, one of whom is Willie. Using Modesty’s friend Doctor Conrad Webber to confirm that he is dying he cons Modesty into being his hostess for the party, and having got her to her island makes her one of the contestants. All goes according to plan until Modesty signals the start of the breakout she and Willie have planned with the other fighters. Furious at having his party spoiled he tries to shoot Modesty. His loyal manservant, Humphrey, tries to stop him and is killed for doing so. Chased by Modesty he jumps on to his private train and when she follows he tries again to shoot her. He makes the mistake of trying yet again and aiming at her while he is standing on the top of the train as it enters a tunnel. TRENT (1) STORY 33: “THE GREENWOOD MAID”: STRIP 3752 One of Friar Tuck’s gang involved in springing Ben Turner from prison. He is in the car with Tuck and Sangro in Stuteley. Together with the other members of the gang he is volunteered by Tuck to play one of the Norman soldiers in the re-enactment of the siege of the castle. He meets up with Modesty and Willie who overpower him and lock him up. He is left by Tuck to his fate. TRENT (2) STORY 64: “SAMANTHA AND THE CHERUB” TEXT ONLY STRIP 6892 A friend of Willie’s who works for a firm that installs alarm systems. Advises Willie that his firm tendered for the alarms in the flat above Lamarette’s fashion house and it is a fortress with only one access. TROMMEL STORY 34: “THOSE ABOUT TO DIE” STRIP 3866 Ninth Dan Judoka and one of the combat experts kidnapped to be a Gladiator in the Roman Games that will provide the climax to Dom Tregallion’s final party. Paired against Modesty in the games and when she gives the signal it is his job to lose his axe to her fake kick and launch her at the nearby guard with a tremendous flying throw. He does it. TSERING STORY 92: “DEATH SYMBOL”: STRIP 9804 Brother of Norbar and one of Djut’s Khamba band. He and his brother are the first to encounter “Mostiblaise” when she and Willie set out to rescue Maureen Boyd. When she tells him who she is he is both disbelieving and angry with her for insulting her name. With his brother he attempts to teach her a lesson and receives the same treatment she handed out to Ten-Dal the Bonecrusher many years before. He becomes one of her devoted admirers helps in the rescue. TUCK, Friar STORY 33: “THE GREENWOOD MAID”: STRIP 3751 Criminal who plans the escape from prison of the ex-Network pen man Ben Turner. Has him tortured in order to learn where he has hidden the proceeds of the half a million pound bank robbery for which he is serving his sentence. Sets out to recover the cash from the secret chamber in Stutely Castle where it is hidden. Unknown to him Turner has already told Modesty and Willie where the money is and he and his man Sangro catch them just as they find it. He shoots Modesty but they all then become trapped in the secret chamber.
