Delaney, and is a multi-millionaire. Bluffs his way into the failed assassin’s cell and pretends to offer him a deal that will get him off the hook. When the man takes the bait and accepts he kills him. ROPER, Ms STORY 94: “THE KILLING GAME”: STRIP 10010 American and only woman member of the select group of big game hunters brought together at Orion’s Field, the estate of Sebastian Kromm in a remote part of Indonesia. Ultimate feminist, most eager to join in the hunt for Modesty and Willie which she regards as a challenge. Once out on the hunt she accuses fellow hunter Da Costa of poaching on her territory. He slaps her face, turns his back and walks away, so she shoots him in the back and kills him. When captured by Willie, she is safe because his old fashioned attitude towards women precludes him from doing her further harm. Fortunately Modesty has no such reservations and after stripping her and cutting off her hair to use later as a disguise she is left with her spirit broken and confidence shattered to find her way to Orion’s Field. ROQUA STORY 53: “THE ALTERNATIVE MAN”: STRIP 5729 In charge of the drug smuggling operation organised by Charon and the only one who knows his identity. Recognises Modesty from his time with the Lobo gang and warns Charon about her. When Matt Lincoln hands Modesty over to him in the middle of a drugs run he wants to kill her and Lincoln stops him, but pays for his intervention with his own life. Later Modesty shoots him in the arm and he is taken to prison. Reveals Charon’s identity to Lady Delacroix only after she puts a gun to his head and threatens to kill him. ROSA (1) STORY 12 “THE JERICHO CAPER” STRIP 1363 Young woman in the village of Luquerres on the Pacific coast of Central America. She is the first victim of the change of regime in Calia when she is abducted along with two other girls by the three desperados who raid the village. Her father is killed by Kovek when trying to protect her. Rescued by Modesty, Willie, Torres and Father Ramon. ROSA (2) Female member of the Aziz Brothers acrobatic troupe in Gogol’s Circus and one of Willie’s many girlfriends. STORY 25 “THE BLUEBEARD AFFAIR” STRIP 2872 Attempts to badger Willie into marrying her by threatening him with the anger and revenge of her “bruzzers” who, she says “will cut out his “‘ot leetle ‘eart with a blunt knife”. The truth is they don’t want him to marry her as it will break up the act. Anyway she is not their sister, just a girl they found for the act. The “bruzzers” think she is playing a very good joke . STORY 55: “THE RETURN OF THE MAMMOTH”: STRIP 5931 During the traditional parade by the circus through the streets of Helsinki she is told by Aziz to stop because there is a lady signalling urgently from a window ledge of the hotel they are outside. It is Modesty, who is trying to escape from two of Zimm’s men set on killing her. She gets off the trampoline so that Modesty can jump into it an be caught by the waiting Aziz Brothers. ROSARIO STORY 65: “MILORD” TEXT ONLY STRIP 7009A One of the girls kidnapped and used and abused by Milord in his pornographic and snuff videos and also for his personal pleasure and satisfaction.
