Wood engraver Garrick Palmer who recently celebrated his 80th birthday is celebrated on the cover of this issue with a feature that showcases his wonderful work for the Folio Society's edition of Moby Dick (1974).
Peter Cross is one of the most popular illustrators working in Britain today is interviewed as is Russian artist Tatiana Ianovskia, famous for her work on Lewis Carroll's Alice books which leads nicely into a feature on how Ian Beck approached colouring Carroll's own illustrations in a new edition of the original manuscript - known as Alice's Adventures under Ground.
